| Malayalee Candidate for Switzerland Parliament Election on 21st October 2007. | |
| Ms.Sindya Malarvadi , a 20 year old girl is a serious candidate for the Switzerland Parliament election which is going to take place on 21st October 2007. She is municipal member of green party at Solothourn Municipality. Her engagement for environmental protection , for the cause of foreigners and also for natural energy is wide recognized and well appreciated .After her commercial studies Sindya is working in a bank and also always engaged in natural protection movements. Sindya is born to Malarvadi Rajan-Annama couples from Alleppey, Kerala and she has one brother Sachin.Born and brought up in Switzerland but maintains high appreciation for Indian Culture and its values. Environment catastrophes and climate catastrophes are subjects which the entire world population confronts. Through our selfish actions, it encounters often the poorest of this world. In Switzerland, we belong privileged to that 20% of humanity that consume 80% of the global energy. With this firm conviction Sindya is fighting for production of renewable energies (solar, wind, water etc.) which will definitely meet the need of the humanity and assure environmental protection. In the parliament she wants to argue for promotion of alternative energy, Genetic engineering, agriculture and environment. In 4 years, the Genetic moratorium expires. New technologies and its risks are yet unknown, are without its further investigations a threat for the population. Is to be promoted a healthy, qualitative superior agriculture, new technologies first then be supposed to be introduced if dangers are excluded? The example corn: Each grain of corn is an individual and therefore in its inviolability, ethically protected. She expects extension of the moratorium. She would like to intervene here, for the protection of our groceries and from that following our nature and above all our environment. Sindya’s firm decision in this respect is recognized by many and the whole Indian Community in Switzerland is waiting with great hope in Sindya.
